BOCCONDIVINO: The Michelin red guide gave this restaurant (an alternative review is here and Australian Slow Food photos here), the birth place of the Slow Food movement, in Bra, its Bib Gourmand (good value, great food) symbol in the past. We have been there before with my US mother-in-law and aunt and think it is great, despite in 2008 now "only" having one fork. Think Chez Panisse in Berkeley, but with every Piemonte wine you could ever imagine!

L'OSTERIA DEL VIGNAIOLO: The Michelin red guide gave this restaurant, in Santa Maria, 4 km from La Morra, its Bib Gourmand (good value, great food) symbol. We would concur. The only downside is getting back to wherever you are based.

LA CLOCHE: Again from the Michelin red guide, this time splashing out for a two fork classification for lunch. Situated on the road to Pino Torinese. As usual good food and wine.
