Around 70% of the audit tickets are from the CDRJC; the others are from 14 different companies and include an example from the Finn Valley Railway, and 57 from the GNR(I). Also included is a quantity of paper and large card tickets (including a few issued, and a SLNCR season of 1920), and a couple of hundred severed halves (Qty) £75, CDRJC: box containing approx. 2,750 audit whole Edmondsons, together with a further box containing a similar number of audit tickets from the SLNCR. Some duplication. This is only apparent in small numbers in the CDRJC tickets, but certain issues within the SLNCR box are heavily duplicated. The latter box, however, also includes 100 issued tickets (Qty) £30.

GWRA on 15 November had: GNRB coat of arms on a 30x25 cm wooden board, exc. cond., along with Brecon & Merthyr Railway, simple script, coat of arms and a NCC script only device mounted on a wooden board measuring 56cm square, exc. cond., £65, NCC LMSR Heppers Key Machine complete with brass ended steel key stamped on both sides 'LEVER No. 58'. Stands approximately 33cm high and has a 5cm diameter glass faced indicator at the top with a small lock and key beneath where it is embossed 'Patented No. 343035'. At the bottom where the Key Token fits, it is embossed ' LMSR Heppers Patent'. The top dome has a small plate attached 'The Westinghouse Brake & Saxby Signal Co. Ltd. Railwayananet Auction had negatives, slides, photos and framed pictures in its auction on 6/1/09. Stafford had an auction on 10/1/09 with an LMSNCC cigarette case £30 and a BR(M) Heysham Harbour enamel £ns. On the same day there was the Cundall's auction at Malton, the only Irish item there being a GNRI gauge glasses (2) £8.

On ebay a small GNRI 20x15cm trespass, with the 'I' ground off, is reported as selling for £155.

This could be the same item that sold on 18/4/09 at TRA with a 32pp GSR brochure with the same artwork for £250.

TRA on 27 June had: GSR original coa transfer nicely mounted onto a painted panel and presented in a glazed frame with gilt slip 490x450cm from the London Railway Club/Woolwich Railway Museum Collection £ns, BCDR cast metal Locomotive Numberplate 'BCDR 5'. As carried by a 2-4-2 tank loco built by Beyer Peacock in 1896 (Works No. 3854). New to Traffic July 1896. Became UTA No. 5 in 1948. Withdrawn Nov. 1949 and sold for scrap. No. 5 was a 5'-3" gauge type 8 Class 5 locomotive and was one of only 6 in the class. They were employed on Belfast-Holywood and Belfast-Dundonald suburban services. Nos. 5, 7 and 27 survived to the formation of the UTA but the other class members Nos. 8, 28 and 29 (all built in 1897) were withdrawn in 1925, 1937 and 1923 respectively. Originally the locos had oval brass numberplates but were changed to the style we have here about 1920. This plate although fractured in two is in totally ex-loco condition and a considerable rarity as many BCDR plates were replaced with UTA cast aluminium examples. Around 840 are from the CDRJC, filed by type and then station of origin, indicating that all are different. The remainder are from 13 different concerns, of which 49 are GNRI, 18 GNRB, and 33 LLSR. Examples from the Donegal, Finn Valley, GSR, GSWR, and NCCMR are also included. Few appear to have been issued – other than odd examples from the GNRI/GNRB, though the full extent cannot be properly assessed from mounted tickets (Qty) £30, A large stock book of 20 double sided leaves containing almost 500 issued and audit whole, plus a few halves and miscellaneous other types. GCRA had an extra auction on 15/8/09 with a 1000 lots and very brief descriptions issued to registered bidders on the day of the sale. TRA on 28 and 29/9/09 had: Dublin, Wicklow & Wexford small 17mm. nickel 'DW & WR' script Button. vgc. (F62/7) £32, BCDR cast metal loco. tankside numberplate 'BCDR 7' as carried by a 2-4-2 Tank Loco built by Beyer Peacock in 1896 (Works No. 3853). It became Ulster Transport Authority No. 7 in 1948 and was withdrawn in Nov. 1949 and sold for scrap. Originally the locos had oval brass numberplates but were changed to this style about 1920. This plate despite having a vertical central crack is in lovely ex-loco condition and a great rarity as many BCDR plates were replaced with U.T.A. cast aluminium examples, 383x252mm, the plate from sister loco no. 5 sold in TRA July 2009 auction £620, LMSNCC silver plated grape Scissors by Elkington, top marked 'LMS NCC' in two vertical outlined panels, vgc. £30, Carriage Panel. GWRA on 14/11 had: poster, BR(M) 'Portrush, Northern Ireland' by Lance Cattermole printed by Jordison vgc with only minor defects around the periphery and a 4cm clean tear top margin. £125, locomotive nameplate Queen Alexandra Ex BNCR Class A 4-4-0 No. 34. In November 1932, the name, together with the original nameplates, was transferred to another Class A 4-4-0 No. 63 (built Derby in 1905) Curved brass construction, 112cm across and in ex loco condition. Note: a photo taken by H.C. Casserley, clearly showing the nameplate appears in the book 'Locomotives of the LMS NCC' by William T. On 17-22/11 had (but described as LBSCR) an untitled enamel carriage notice 'Please do not spit in the carriages...' with three lines of text explaining the reasons why you should not do so, good used condition with rusting around edges - 41 x 11 cm £150. On this site this would be a BCDR item. A second item was a station wall lamp (lot 286) marked GSWR but actually Glasgow&SWR.

TRA on 24/11 had: GNRI moulded black refreshment room or hotel ashtray top embossed 'GNR' in GWR roundel style, back scratched 'Dundalk 11-11-48'. vgc. 120mm. dia. £40, GNRI large rectangular vessel for a tail lamp or similar, stamped 'Newry ED', complete with ring pull and a large four tube rape oil burner vgc. £40, GSR official folding publications from the 'Ireland Gem of the Sea' series: Cork, Killarney & Kerry 26pp; Tara, the Boyne & Central Ireland 22pp.; Dublin, Wicklow & the South East 36pp.; Limerick, Clare, Galway, Connemara, Achill, Sligo & Donegal 40pp, all complete with system maps, attractive covers, a little soiled but good in the main (4)£26.

SRA on 5/12 had: BNCR enamel sign: 'BNCR - Notice - Any Person Found Writing on The Walls or in Any Way Injuring The Company's Property Will Be Prosecuted. By Order' in brown lettering on cream and brown border with a couple of small chips and edge rusting. 15 x 10cm, £90, GNRI (but probably BCDR enamel sign: 'Please do not spit in the carriages - It is offensive to Other Passengers and is Stated by The Medical Profession to be a Source of Serious Disease.' Some restored chipping, in good order generally, 37 x 10cm in dark blue lettering and border on white with a light blue edging. Although this item is credited to GNR(I) it could well have come from one of the other Irish Railways, possibly GSR, vgc £110.
