Crewe on 26 April had: a cast iron trespass sign 'Dundalk Newry & Greenore Railway' in restored condition £800, an early enamel trespass sign 'Clogher Valley Railway Trespassers will be Prosecuted Penalty 40/-' with makers name 'Falkirk Iron Co.' to the bottom right hand edge, white on blue with several large face chips & edge rusting, size 69x38cm £600, a cast iron poster board heading 'Midland Great Western Railway of Ireland' mounted on a board with embossed letters on a back plate 110x17cm £ns, a cast iron poster board heading 'Great Northern Railway Ireland' cast in four sections and mounted on a backboard, in restored condition 116x30cm £300.

GWRA on 17 May had: BR 'Fishguard to Rosslare' poster by Arthur G. Mills, dr size 102x64cms, published by the Railway Executive Western Region, printed by Waterlow & Sons, linen backed £320, City of Cork Steam Packet Company poster 'Fishguard - Cork The Innisfallen Way' by Harry Hudson Rodmell, dr size 102x64cms gc £440, BR 'Northern Ireland - The Giants Causeway' poster by Lander, dr size 102x64cms, published by the Railway Executive London Midland Region, printed by Waterlow fold and some tape marks mostly around the edge £60, BR(M) enamel station fascia sign in two halves measuring 259x72 and 259x53cms. Top half is 'British Railways Provide The Premier Routes Between Eire & England Via Rosslare - Fishguard And Via Dun Laoghaire - Holyhead'. Bottom half is 'Tickets Issued Accommodation Reserved and Full Information Supplied at Enquiry Office, 98 St Patrick Street Cork Tel Cork 20043'. Originated from Cobh station Cork £380, GWR pictorial enamel map 'To Ireland by the New Fishguard Route', small version measuring approximately 30x25cms, small amount of edge restoration £360, CIE poster 'Dublin by CIE Rail and Motor Coach Tours', dr size 102x64cms, depicts a policeman keeping a watchful eye over Dublin Castle. Lithographed by Hely's Ltd, Eastwall, Dublin, printed in the Republic of Ireland £160, BR poster 'Londonderry - Travel there in comfort by Rail & Sea' by Kerry Lee, dr size 102x64cms, published by BR LM Region, printed by Waterlow, folds otherwise vgc £60.

Railwayana.net at its June auction had: a CIE dual language white on black rectangular enamel occupation crossing notice with a number of chips and some pellet holes but overall in pretty good condition and is presented on a wooden backing board – 91x76cm est£60-80 £ns and a CIE alloy miniature staff 'Enfield-Kilcock' with a little chipping and marking from use - 24cm long est£60-80 £ns.

Great Northern on 7 June had: a GNRI bridgeplate No. 59 £30, a BR(M) LM16357 Northern Ireland poster by Wilcox £120, a Belfast Steamship Company small crystal sherry glass £ns and a restored GNRI 'Messengers' corrugated handlamp £1300.

Thirsk on 14 June had a GSR 3-aspect Clonmel lamp £70.

Solent on 21 June had: an LMSNCC '1895' wagonplate with non-standard lettering, rectangular c/i, repainted front, 36x18cm £50, a wagonplate CIE 40 tons 30115 repainted £35, GSR Appendix to WTT 1935 cover wear and slightly loose, GSR 1933 rule book vgc., and GNRI 1949 rule book slight cover wear, £15, an Irish enamel coach sign 'Please do not spit in the carriages. It is offensive to other passengers and is stated by the medical profession to be a source of serious disease', dark blue lettering/ornate inner borderline on white background with light blue outer edge, minor edge/face chipping 41x11cm £70.

Third quarter 2014

GCR on 12 July 2014 had: a Railway Signal Company single line staff, Hill of Down-Killucan £50, a Tyers No 6 single line 'Castlerock-Bellarena' alloy tablet £40, Royal Irish Fusilier nameplate from BR Class 45 D77, later 45004, built at Crewe Works in December 1960 and allocated to Crewe North, named in September 1965, cast resin with integral badge as fitted in 1965, the front repainted £5800.

GCR on 16 August had: GSWR Irish gate notice £50, C.I.E. large enamel gate notice, dual language £50, Irish single line staff, Kilcock-Enfield, alloy £20, GSWR c/i gate notice £40.

TRA on 23 August had: Great Southern Rly of Ireland 3 aspect handlamp stamped 'G.S.R. Tuam 10' and brass plated 'Sligo', complete with 'CIE' vessel, burner, reflector and all glasses, restored, £110, Great Northern Rly. of Ireland 3 aspect guards handlamp, stamped 'GNR(I)' and 'Dundalk Jct.' vgc, complete and restored, £85, Bessbrook & Newry Electric Rly. 3 aspect handlamp, body is stamped 'BNER' and plated 'G. Polkey Limited manufacturers Birmingham 1911', the body and aspect drum are also stamped 'MR Co.', perhaps purchased by the Midland because of an order cancellation by the BNER, a scarce lamp in vgc., complete and unrestored, £ns ofs@£200, 'L&NW Ry. A GCR ticket auction on 12 September had: BNCR Portrush-Glasgow £70, a CLR Drumshanbo-Dromod £70, DWWR Westland Row-Blackrock £6, GNRI Ardrossan-Glasgow £50, GNRI Fintona-Fintona Jct. £12, GNRI/LMSNCC Rosapenna and Donegal Highlands Tour £12, GSR Dublin-Curragh £5 and WLR Laffan's Bridge-Clonmel return £9.

Great Central Railwayana on 11 October 2014 had: an LMS, NCC cabside numberplate, 50, from a WT Class 2-6-4T, one of the last Class ordered for the NCC and built for the newly formed UTA in April 1949 at Derby under the auspices of the Railway Executive of BR to a design which was basically an LMS Fowler 2-6-4T and generally known in Ireland as Jeeps, cast brass, 43x25cm, the front repainted £800, an Irish pre grouping enamel carriage notice, concerning spitting, 41x11cms £280, a BNCR branding iron. 68cm long, used to brand furniture etc. £260, a BR(M) double royal poster, Heysham for Belfast and Northern Ireland, by Claude Buckle (LM19558) £290 [and, of personal interest, a French locomotive numberplate, BB-338, from a SNCF 1500 volt DC electric built by Alsthom and which entered service in February 1947 at Tours-Saint-Pierre, withdrawn in December 1985, cast aluminium, 66x20cm, in ex loco condition. £210], an aluminium tablet Annaghmore-Portadown £340.

Stands approximately 33cm high and has a 5cm diameter glass faced indicator at the top with a small lock and key beneath where it is embossed 'Patented No. 343035'. At the bottom where the Key Token fits, it is embossed 'WB & SC Co. London- Heppers Patent'. The original key is in place. Railwayana.net in the second half of May had a GNRI titled oval brass tenderplate '131 D2 Dundalk 1932'. As no new locos were built at Dundalk in 1932, presumably the tender was built as a replacement or spare, the plate has been cleaned and repainted - 21x11cm £330, General Motors Locomotives alloy builders plate 'Class 0-4-4-0 No 31248 Built 9-66' from a Diesel Electric Loco built by General Motors in North America [For CIE].
